We have many wonderful year-round opportunities and ways to get involved here at Food4Kids Waterloo Region.
Depending on your availability and interest, the majority of our work is done Monday to Friday during the daytime, however, there is a regular evening opportunity, as well as some occasional weekend events and individual ways to get involved.
Contact our Volunteer Coordinator Jenn Birnstihl at: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Summer 2021 Opportunities
Summer volunteer food delivery drivers are needed to help feed local children living with chronic hunger this summer. We need to fill 25 delivery routes EVERY WEEK on Wednesdays and Thursdays all summer long. Join our fleet of volunteer drivers delivering much needed nutritious food - including fresh fruits and vegetables - to the 860 children we serve.
You will be assigned a route and deliver food - using your own vehicle - to homes across Waterloo Region. Contact-free curbside pick ups from our office at 10 Washburn Drive Unit #4 Kitchener. Light lifting. COVID Protocol In Place: Mandatory masks + social distancing + Screening.
Week #1 kicks off with deliveries on Tues June 29 and Wed June 30th due to Canada Day.
WHO CAN DO IT?
This is a meaningful activity for people of all ages - you can do with a friend, a neighbour, your child and for teens, volunteer hours are earned.
