Volunteer Coordinator and Facilities Manager

As a member of a very dynamic, and dedicated team of professionals, the Volunteer Coordinator and Facilities Manager (FCFM) will facilitate the development, planning and implementation of volunteer services within Food4Kids Waterloo Region, for the community of Waterloo Region.

 

The candidate will provide a leadership role advocating for the agency as Volunteer Coordinator, providing motivation and empowerment to volunteers, and collaborating with internal staff to ensure volunteer placement and execution of programs that serve vulnerable children.  30 hours per week – Hours may vary.

In addition, as Facility Manager, the candidate will manage the services to ensure the safe and effective use of the facilities, and be the first line of contact for the organization and administrative duties as needed. 

Applicant must have volunteer management experience, or equivalent education and be a team player.

Food Coordinator

As a member of a small but very dynamic, and dedicated team of professionals, the Food Coordinator will facilitate the planning, acquisition, and management of our food supplies within Food4Kids Waterloo Region, serving children living with chronic hunger for the Waterloo Region community.

 

The candidate will manage menu planning, food purchasing, food pick ups and/or deliveries, and inventory management. They will also work closely with the Program Coordinator and with our many volunteers coordinating the set up and execution of all volunteer food bagging and packing activities.

 

Applicant must be excellent with numbers, very organized & detail oriented and love working with people. A clean driving record and the use of a medium to large sized automobile is also required. This job requires regular lifting of 50+ lbs, as well as moving, unloading, unpacking food deliveries. Part Time -  24 hours per week.
